During the health emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a hospital company wanted to equip itself with effective solutions for managing overcrowding in the wards. To help the Hospital, Moxoff has developed a digital platform based on artificial intelligence algorithms.
Description and Benefits
During the emergency period, the Italian health system had to face an abnormal overcrowding of hospital wards and emergency rooms. The information systems available to the facilities were not able to effectively detect the pressure exerted on the different units. Competent bodies had therefore many difficulties in adopting effective and well-timed decisions on patients’ distribution.
In close collaboration with the hospital director and healthcare staff, Moxoff developed an automatic platform that could quickly monitor and manage the pressure and health status of the hospitals’ network, providing an advanced decision support system.
